With the midterm elections just around the corner, we would like to remind all our members to exercise their right to vote this November. Even though the past several months have seen some of the most contentious political races in Nevada’s history, it is important to remember that voting ultimately represents an opportunity for citizens to express themselves–not just an endless cycle of unpleasant TV ads.
We at the Nevada Subcontractors Association pride ourselves on being able to advocate and further the interests of our members and associate members, whether it is through our year-round programs, our legislative involvement, or our belief that members should take the time to vote in each election. State elections make up an integral part of determining the future of Nevada’s economy, and they go together with our efforts to represent Nevada’s construction workers, contractors, and suppliers through legislation.
We are always looking to improve in our services, and it is our hope that we can continue to voice the concerns of tens of thousands of Nevadans and hundreds of local businesses where it counts. Accordingly, we constantly research and assess governmental activities, legislative developments, and industry issues to ensure that we can provide our members with as much information as possible and respond effectively to any matter that may affect them. Our relationships within state government allow us to convey our members’ chief concerns while also educating elected officials on the relevance of policies to Nevada’s construction industry.
We hope you will set aside time this November 6th or through Early Voting to make your opinion heard at the polls, and we look forward to working with local officials in the coming years to continue to make Nevada a great state for the construction industry.
