The City of Las Vegas announced that it has launched a new online tool for obtaining certain types of building permits. According to the Online Building Permits 2013 Industry Advisory released by the City of Las Vegas,

The new system will allow homeowners and contractors to:

• Apply online for permits that do not require plans (water heaters; water softeners; electric meter tags; electric service changes; adding electric receptacles; gas meter tags; HVAC exact change outs; and construction trailers)
• Pay online for those permits
• Print the permit/inspection card for inspections
• Contractors will also be able to apply for multiple permits and pay for them in the same transaction (for example, water heaters at different addresses)

The new system can be found on the City of Las Vegas website at www.lasvegasnevada.gov under “Apply for…Permit”. Or users can go directly to the new Online Building Permits page.
