Responsible for assisting roofers during the application or repair of roofing materials. Unloads materials, cleans off roof, applies roofing material, and cleans site after job is complete.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Unload materials from truck
• Lift roofing materials onto roof using a rope and wheel system
• Unroll and nail roofing paper into roof
• Cover roof boards with roofing felt, asphalt strips, or other materials
• Apply metal flashing to required areas
• Apply tile, slate, or composition materials to roof
• Locate and replace cracked tiles
• Fill in missing tiles
• Locate and fix leaks
• nail trim tiles to roof boards and cover end laps with roofing caulking

Requirements:

• Must wear company supplied personal fall arrest system and personal protective equipment
• Must complete a minimum 10 hour safety class to receive OSHA card
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time
• Must perform physical activities that require use of your arms and legs moving you whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials
• Cannot be afraid of working at elevated heights
