The Nevada Subcontractors Association (NSA) recently hosted its Annual Membership Meeting, bringing together members, partners, and industry leaders for a day of celebration, collaboration, and connection. Emceed by NSA’s President & CEO Kelly Gaines, this highly anticipated event highlighted NSA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the subcontractor community and advance the construction industry throughout Nevada. Attendees were welcomed with a dynamic program that included legislative updates, workforce development highlights, and special guest presentations.

Carnell “Golden Pipes” Johnson kicked off the event with a powerful rendition of the national anthem, setting the tone for an inspiring afternoon.

Keynote speaker Mark Shunock, Vegas Golden Knights host and WWE Smackdown ring announcer, brought energy as he shared his new non-profit project, The Space 2.0 and it’s construction partnership with the NSA.

The event also introduced “Construction Cares,” a new nonprofit initiative focused on supporting families in the construction community during times of hardship. Co-founder Rita Dooley shared heartfelt stories that reminded everyone of the importance of compassion and solidarity in the industry.

Additional highlights included a legislative update from A.J. Delap of The Griffin Company. An overview of NSA’s recent accomplishments, and the ceremonial passing of the gavel of outgoing Chair, Andy Dick to the new Chair of the Board, Brett Willis of Silver Lake Construction.

Throughout the afternoon, members had opportunities to connect with peers, celebrate successes, and look ahead to future goals. The NSA Annual Membership Meeting not only recognizes achievements but also reinforces the association’s commitment to advocacy, education, and community outreach.
