The 2nd Annual Project 150 #LIFTT Career & Employment Fair was Saturday at the Clark County Government Center.
Project 150 is one of the excellent organizations in Southern Nevada the NSA and our member companies are proud to support. The organization offers support and services to homeless high school students in the Las Vegas area so they can stay in school through graduation and learn the life skills necessary to be successful.
Project 150 serves almost 1500 students in 40 high schools throughout Nevada. With more than 7500 homeless students in Clark County alone the need for Project 150’s services is tremendous.
The LIFTT Career Fair presented an opportunity for high school students to meet with employers and a number of NSA members participated. In addition to the chance to meet employers at the job fair, students were able to take advantage of a variety of services offered by Project 150 and its volunteers, including mini-workshops, a computer lab and clothing boutique.
The NSA encourages you to donate and/or volunteer for Project 150 to help them address this need in Southern Nevada. Project 150 “collects gently used clothes, toiletries, non perishable food, and school supplies year round.” They hold special drives throughout the year to collect a variety of items high school students need.
