AB125, the comprehensive construction defect reform bill also known as the Homeowner Protections Act of 2015, passed the Nevada State Senate Committee on Judiciary Wednesday and now moves to the full Senate.
The 4-3 vote in the Judiciary Committee came one day after AB125 was approved by the Nevada State Assembly. The bill was introduced in the Senate Wednesday morning and assigned to the Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Greg Brower.
The legislation will now appear before the full state Senate. If passed by the Senate, the Homeowner Protections Act of 2015 would be sent to Governor Brian Sandoval for his signature. Sandoval specifically mentioned construction defect reform in his January State of the State speech.
